A New Simplified Method for Efficient Extraction of Solar Cells and Modules Parameters from Datasheet Information

An accurate and straightforward estimation of solar cells modules parameters from the manufacturer’s datasheet is essential for performance assessment, simulation, design, quality control. In this work, a simple efficient technique reported to extract modules, namely ideality factor (n), series resistance (Rs), shunt (Rsh), photocurrent (Iph) saturation current (Io), information. The method based on defining peak position function f(n, Rsh) = n(Rsh _ max − Rsh), at which five are extracted. It was validated four different technologies including Poly-Si, Mono-Si, thin film multijunction. Results showed that extraction can be realized by using compared methods in literature.
